Cops at our door

Last night we were having a quiet evening at home, DL was over at a friends house and BL and TL were watching a movie. We had a guy here working on our alarm system for us and he was testing it. Some how he didn't set it on test so before D and I knew what was happening there was a very loud pounding on our door. We rushed to the door to find a policeman shining his flashlight and asking us if everthing was okay. We told him what had happened and he came inside. Then our phone rang and it was the alarm company checking to make sure that we were okay. We then had another man show up at our door that the fire department had dispatched because he lived close to us. The policeman was very nice and the kids thought that it was very cool that a real policeman was in our home. It was a bit crazy but it is good to know that our alarm system works so well and efficiently. I hope that a cop never has to bang on my door again!
