Go Chukars!!

We took the kids to the Chukars baseball game on Friday night. They got free baseball hats for being one of the first 500 fans there and they were so excited to wear them. D knows the guy that works security there and he gave the kids ice cream and baseballs that the team had used.

The kids also got to see Smokey the Bear and Charlie the Chukar. I love that they think that it is the coolest thing in the world to be able to give Smokey the Bear five. They got their picture taken with Charlie the Chukar and he signed their hats for them. TL loved cheering for the team and no matter what he was doing if the crowd started to cheer he would drop everything and clap for the team. BL insisted on wearing her little white skirt to the game and I told her that she might get chilly later in the game. She still wanted to wear it so I told her that I did not want to hear her say that her legs were cold. Luckily it stayed really warm for us and the kids had sweatshirts but toward the end of the game DL says, "Mom, guess what BL just said? She said that her legs were cold." I looked at her and said, "what's wrong?" BL then replied, " I did not say that! My legs were just faking it!!" I had to laugh at that. She says the funniest things and gets the cutest look on her face. We really enjoyed the game and are looking forward to going to more during the summer.
