This summer D and I were not able to plant a garden because our ground was not ready in time to plant in May so we have been lucky enough to get some fresh vegetables from Grandma's wonderful garden. For those of you who do not know my Mother- in-law she is a wonderful gardener. Her garden is as big as some peoples yards! She grows everything in it and cans a lot of it for her food storage and for her family. She is amazing! She called me on Friday and asked if I wanted the beans to can, I said yes and went to get them that afternoon. Her and Grandpa were in the garden all morning picking the beans for me. It is hard work to do that, especially when it is really hot out and there are thousands of beans. They had two very large boxes full of beans for me to take! I was very happy and grateful for the beans! As I was leaving she sent me home with green peppers, banana peppers, some other peppers that we were not sure what kind they were, cucumbers and my favorite zucchini!! I was so thankful for her and Grandpa and all of the hard work that they do for all of the family. I ended up getting 26 quarts of beans canned, I was up until one o'clock in the morning finishing up! Thank you Grandma Sally for the yummy vegetables and all of hard work you do, we love you!!
