Same illness, different kid
Strep throat has struck our home once again. The victim is TL. He woke up yesterday with a fever and he was complaining that his throat hurt. He had a high fever all day and he was not himself at all. I wasn't sure if it would be strep so I just gave him Tylenol and let him take it easy. By the late afternoon he was really complaining of a sore throat and kept asking me to take him to the hospital. I finally gave in and told him that I would take him into the doctor. While we were waiting for D to come home so that we could go I was in the kitchen getting dinner ready and TL was at my side the whole time asking me if it was time to go to the hospital. BL came in and started telling me something and in a very quiet voice TL says, "B, I am going to the hospital and you won't see me." His little voice was so cute. So I took him in and they tested him. The doctor was getting ready to write out a prescription for the medicine and I asked her if they give the shot instead. I let TL decide what he wanted and he chose the shot! I was amazed at how brave he was. Once she gave it to him he of course started to cry and didn't stop until we were in the car. He got it in the bum so his bum is very sore, especially to go up and down the stairs. He got upset at DL this morning because DL kept asking him if his bottom hurt and TL said, "Stop talking to me because it makes it more hurted." Today he is all better (besides the sore bottom) and we are glad that he is feeling better.
