Turkey with a side of updates!

I haven't blogged for a while so here is an update on everything that has been happening in our household. We went to Boise for Thanksgiving and had it with my family. We were all there but Meg and she was missed, alot! We had a lot of fun cooking together and playing games and the kids had a great time playing together. Here is a picture of the turkey. It was 29 pounds! It was gigantic and so yummy. We had a ton of good food and we of course all ate way to much. Here also is a picture of my Mom and Dad in the kitchen with D. My Mom is making my most favorite salad! It was so delicious!


Here we were at the table there were 8 adults, 7 kids and 2 babies. We could not all fit at the table so some of the kids are sitting at the counter behind us and the babies are in their chairs. We had so much fun being with everyone. I also was able to play Guitar Hero for the very first time and I was totally addicted to it! It is so much fun, I played with my sister Tory and I called her my Rock Sista'! We also had fun shopping on Black Friday. No, we did not go early in the morning, we aren't that crazy but we did go to Wal-Mart later in the day. On Saturday we went over to Tory's house and hung out there. My kids love playing at her house, they think that the boys have the coolest toys ever! You can see in the picture below that SL crashed at Tory's against my Dad, we really wore him out. Since we have come home SL has started walking. He had taken a few steps before but now he is walking all over the place. He gets really excited and he loves to carry things around with him when he walks. Too cute!

Now we are just trying to get ready for Christmas. We have put up the lights and the tree and all of the decorations, now we just need to go shopping! We have not done any shopping yet! We are hoping to go tomorrow and get most of it done. Tonight here in town the are having a parade of lights and Santa will be here in town. All of the stores are having sales and they will be opened until midnight. Different places will be having hot chocolate and they are also giving hay rides. D is on one of the lighted floats so the kids and I will be going with friends to see him and then go visit Santa. It seems so strange to have Christmas so close and still no snow! It sure is cold enough for it! Brrrrrrr!
