Our Summer, so far...

Yes, I know, I have not posted anything for a very long time. Well, I am here to catch you all up on the Lounsbury's summer of fun. We have been really busy so far and have been having way to much fun. In June both DL and TL had their birthdays. They were a lot of fun and they both got what they wanted. DL is now 8 and TL is now 4! We were also busy with baseball and softball in June. BL played T-ball for the first time this year and she loved it. She is a really fast runner and she really liked making new friends. DL played machine pitch for the 2nd year. D was his coach so that was... well interesting. They had a lot of fun doing it together and DL has really improved from last year.

On July 4th DL was baptized! It was such a special day for him, and he will always remember the date of his baptism. We kept telling him and the kids that they would have fireworks that night for his baptism. A few days before the 4th the kids heard fireworks outside and they kept trying to see them, BL said, " Someone must have gotten baptized today!" Then as we were leaving the park that night after the fireworks she made some funny comment about how all of these people were excited for DL to be baptized. It was an awesome day. We had the baptism in the morning and then we went to the park to have lunch with all of the family. We had almost all of D's family there and my parents and my sister with her husband and baby. We ate and played and hit a few softballs. We then went back to the house and rode on the four wheeler and relaxed and then later that night headed to another park for the fireworks. It was so much fun and the kids had a blast. I am so proud of DL and the choice that he made to be baptized. He is an awesome kid and I am so glad that he is ours!

The next weekend after that we went camping with my whole family! It was just going to be our family with my parents and Tory and her family and Lucy and her baby but my sister Megan flew in from Texas and surprised us! She showed up on Tory's door step on Wednesday afternoon and said that she was here to go camping with us! I have not been with my whole family for that long for a very long time (years) and it was so nice to have us all there together, minus Lucy's husband Derrick who we missed an awful lot! We camped at Little Red Fish Lake and it was so beautiful! We had wonderful weather besides the one rainy day that we had. We got to go fishing ( I caught my very first fish ever, and then caught another) and swimming (freezing!) and we even made a movie! I didn't want it to end at all, especially when I got home and the laundry needed done and the garden needed weeding and the house needed cleaning. We have been home for a week and there hasn't been a day yet when I haven't wished that we were still camping. I love my family so much and we have so much fun together, I miss you all terribly! (you can click on the picture below and see it bigger)

Other than that it is just same old summer stuff, like weeding the garden, which is looking awesome, and still going to D's softball games.
The summer is flying by and we only have 4 weeks left (I think)! BL has taught TL how to ride his bike without training wheels! I tried to teach him for so long and nothing, then she teaches him in a day! My kids are outside all day long, usually in swimming suits, playing with friends and eating nothing but Popsicles. They are all so tan and looking beautiful with their sun bleached hair. We have also been to a family reunion for D's side and had a lot of fun with the family. His family is such a blast and so funny! I love that we live so near most of them and love seeing them. I forgot my camera for the reunion but do not fear we have another in a little while and I will get lots of pics. We also purchased a new vehicle! It is a blue Chevy Trail Blazer and it is wonderful. We were done with being a mini van family and this car fits us nicely. Well, sorry for having such a lengthy post but I had to catch you all up. I will try to do better in the future, especially when school starts and thing slow down here. It is the beginning of canning season though so I will try my best.
