New Year

Okay, I am not a very good blogger. I am not going to say how I am going to start blogging more because everytime I say that I never do so I am not saying anything....

Our holidays were so good, we had a lot of fun and had some good times with friends and family. My parents came here for Thanksgiving and it was so nice to have it here at my house, we had tons of yummy food. The kids loved using the fancy dishes!

We also had a wonderful Christmas here at home, (sorry, no pics, they are still on the camera) the kids had a blast opening presents and then we headed to Grandma's house for soup and rolls and games with D's family. My parents drove down to Texas to spend it with my two sisters down there (I miss my family terribly right now).
Our lives have been pretty busy since then, basketball has started for DL and he loves playing and learning new things, we have had a few trips to the dentist and the doctor with more to come this next week. It is freezing cold here and I am all ready for spring (pretty sad, I know). The kids are all doing really well in school right now and they all really are enjoying their teachers and friends. SL and I have fun at home together and he is so excited when TL comes home from Kindergarten (I guess I am kinda boring). The kids are super funny and continue to amaze us everyday.
So with the new year upon us I have made some resolutions. I am not one who usually seriously makes them but this year I have a few.
1. Read the entire standard works. D and I are both doing it, not together, but encouraging eachother. So far, 13 days in, I am right on track! I am so excited to do this, it will be quite an accomplishment if I am able to complete it.
2. Make levi quilts for each of my kids. This one may actually be harder than #1. I want them big enough for their beds. I don't think I have enough levis so any donations of old levis are welcome. A very nice friend of mine gave me two big boxes overflowing with jeans and 3 yards of fuzzy blue fabric that will work perfectly (thanks Marie)!
3. Reach my goal weight, FINALLY!! Next year I don't want to have any reason for this resolution anymore!!! I have the working out thing figured out, I love doing it and I do it at least 4 times a week. It is just the eating thing that I still need to master!
4. Come closer to Christ. I hope that #1 will help with this one and I am just trying to be a much better person in everything I do.
That's all that I can think of right now, but I am sure I will have more another day.

Those are awesome goals Erin! I haven't even figured out exactly what I want for 2011!? Lame I know. I really want to come see the cute chore charts you made for your kids too! Can I invite myself right over? :)

Great to see an update...and your parents. My biggest question is...did you all go and hit plastic golf balls in the back yard?
