Now on to some personal news, I usually don't do this personal stuff on here, I have really been contemplating whether I should or not but I feel that it will be helpful to me and I have good friends that read this blog that I don't talk to on a regular basis so this is a way that I can let them know what is going on.
Around the end of May we found out that Dale has a brain tumor. It is located in the center of his head, right where the spinal cord meets the brain stem. It is not in his brain but is pushing on it. He has been having problems with his left eye for about a year and a half and we could never figure out what was wrong. We were told last June that there was a 5% chance that it could be a brain tumor but we didn't do anything at the time. We didn't think there was any way that he was in that 5%. He went back to see that same doctor (an eye specialist) this May and he had Dale get the MRI. We went for the MRI at 8:00 in the morning and they called us by 10:30 telling us what they found. They are almost sure that the tumor is non cancerous (which is such a blessing right now) but that is something that they won't know for sure until they test the actual tumor. We have been to see one neurosurgeon close to us and he said that surgery is our best option. We are headed to Utah next week to see another doctor and depending on how that appointment goes we may possibly fly down to Arizona and meet with two different doctors there the following week. The tumor is located next to some nerves and close to the vessel that supplies the blood to the brain stem. It makes us very nervous and we are really putting our trust in Heavenly Father that he will guide us to the surgeon we need. Dale will need to take of 6 weeks off of work for the surgery and recovery. Those that know him know that it will be very hard for him to "take it easy" for that long. We will have lots of quality family time, which will be wonderful! :)
We have been blown away by the outpouring of love that we have received from our friends and our family. It makes me cry every time I think of everything that they have done for us so far and for all of their prayers. Every day I am in awe of the people that are in our lives and by the wonderful things they do for us and for others around them. We do feel very lucky and blessed with how it is turning out, we have heard story's of others that lose their loved ones to a tumor and cancer, I pray daily for families that are going through things like that and I am thankful that ours is not more than it is. (I hope I am making sense) My testimony has grown by leaps and bounds in this past month. People in my life have felt the spirit and acted on those promptings and been a strength to me, and have helped my testimony to grow, thank you, you know who you are...
I am hoping to use the blog to keep everyone up to date on everything that will be happening. Thank you for all you do, I truly love you all! :)

Erin, I had no idea that this was going on in your family. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and Dale. Goodluck with the doctors visits and may the Lord bless you and lead you to the doctors that Dale needs to be seen by. Betty
