Our 4th of July weekend

For the past few days we have had my parents here visiting from Star (Boise area) and we had such a good time with them. They got here last Thursday and we went to see the fireworks here in Rigby that night. They set off the fireworks at the lake but the line of cars was so long that we went and sat on the lawn of the bank in town to watch. The kids had more fun dancing and making shadows in the big spotlight that shines on the bank than than watching the fireworks.

The next day we went and had a BBQ with D's family and then went to a parade. After that we left to go to town and to the hotel where we had a room reserved that had a balcony facing the fireworks. We relaxed and went swimming and ate hamburgers and then watched the fireworks. It was nice to be able to stay there and not have to deal with all of the crazy traffic. We had such a fun time together and I am so glad that my parents came to enjoy it with us. We got to continue to hang out and relax together over the next few days and we were very sad when they had to leave to go home on Tuesday. TL cried for 30 minutes after they left because he wanted to go with them. We will see them soon though when we go to Boise to visit with the family. My sister Megan and our good friend Anne Marie are coming to see us next week sometime and we are so excited to see them. We have not seen Megan since December and we have not seen Anne Marie since last June!! I love spending time with family. I only wish that I could see all of my family more often. I am very blest to live so close to D's family and to have them near for support and to be able to have a place to go when I need to get away.
