Busy, Busy!

It has been awhile since I last posted so I thought I would leave a quick one to let you all know what we have been up to. I have been canning like crazy (though not as much as my Mother-in -law)! I have done 59 quarts of beans, 51 quarts of applesauce, 22 quarts of pickles, 43 quarts of pears and 45 quarts of peaches. Yesterday I also froze about 8 quart baggies of peaches and D and I did 7 quarts of apple pie filling together. We will be getting more apples to make more apple pie filling and I will also dry some. I am so grateful for all of this storage that we have been blessed with and I am so thankful to my Mother-in-law for teaching me how to can all of this stuff. She is truly amazing and I learn more from her every year. Last night we also bought a flat and a half of blueberries from her for very cheap (thank you Sally!). I will be freezing them. I made some peach and blueberry cobbler the other night and this morning I made Blueberry and cornmeal pancakes for breakfast! They were both very yummy, my kids can't get enough of the blueberries or the peaches! Well back to the kitchen I go!
