Smashing the ward

On Sunday it was announced that our ward boundaries are going to be changed. They are taking our ward and another ward and they are going to make a new ward to help with the numbers. Our ward is at almost 800 members right now and the other ward has over 800 members. We are excited but also very sad. We have many friends in our ward and we love our bishop. He is an amazing man and I hope that he is still our bishop. I told the kids that they were splitting our ward and of course DL is extremely worried that he will lose his primary teacher (we think he has a crush on her). Later BL says to me, " So are they smashing our ward today?" Hehehehe, very funny! After I laughed I was telling her what it meant to split a ward and DL says, "It's like how mom cuts our sandwiches in half, yeah, it's like they are cutting the ward in half." I never thought of it like that! Thanks DL, I think BL understands now! I will let you all know of the changes next week!

It's always sad when your ward splits, however, it will be so nice for you guys when there aren't so many people. That's cute about what Brooke and Dayne said. Kids say the funniest stuff.

Hi Erin- This is Steph Anderson, your old visiting teacher. I was excited when I saw your blog on Jamie Wengreen's list. I hope it's okay that I took a peek! I have missed getting to come visit you every month- it was fun to get to know you. Crazy about the ward splitting! And your blog is very cute! Anyway, I hope you are doing well! I have a blog too, but it is private. Here is my email address if you want an invite: andesteph@gmail.com. See you!
