As he has gotten older he still loves books and looks at them all of the time. In the boy's bedroom we have a book shelf full of children's books and we will find SL sitting in front of it quite a bit. A few weeks ago D was gone to a meeting and I was watching a movie with the kids in my room (we were watching Stardust, which is a really good show). All during the movie SL kept getting off of the bed and would return with a different book to look at. I didn't think anything of this, it is nothing new. When D got home he looked in the boy's room and laughed and said, you have to come and see this. This is what I saw.......
SL had pulled out a lot of the books out of the shelf and had made a big mess, as you can see. I would of loved to have seen him do this. He has done it before but never this much. When he goes to bed at night he has to have his sippy cup full of water, his puppy (which he always has touching his face when he sleeps), and a book. If he wakes up in the middle of the night he will make his way into our room with his arms full of all of his things. He will get very upset if the book is not with him. He does have a favorite book, it is a little board book about trucks, this is the one he usually is carrying around. The other night I woke up (at 2am) and heard him whining a little so I went to go and check on him. He was not in his bed, he was in the boy's room in front of the book case getting another book. It is so cute and I love it, I hope that he keeps this love of books forever!!
