Paper Bag Popcorn
I have to share with you all an awesome idea for popcorn. I got this from Good Eats with Alton Brown on the Food Network. You take a small brown paper bag and put 1/4 cup of unpopped popcorn in it with 2 teaspoons of olive oil (we used popcorn oil) and some popcorn salt. Fold the bag over to close it and staple it shut. Put it in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes and pull it out when the popcorn is popping about 5 seconds apart. Enjoy! We did this last night for the kids and they loved it. They each got their own bag of popcorn with just the right amount in it (we did have to put the popcorn in a new bag because the bag gets all yucky from the oil). It was very yummy too, D put chili powder and paprika and garlic salt in with his and it was delicious! We are never buying microwave popcorn again. Thank you Alton Brown!!

It was fun to see you at GNO!!!
That is an awsome idea! Did you see that at like 2 in the morning? hehehehe I'm going to have to try that.
Fun, I am going to try it right now!
We would like to try it, but I am concerned about putting metal staples in my microwave...are you sure you are supposed to staple the bag shut?
yes, to the Phillips question about putting staples in the microwave. I think because they are so little it doesn't matter. Just put in 2 staples and it will be okay. Trust me we did it and nothing happened (besides the popcorn popping).
